FHIP collects the financial information you choose to add — income, expenses, assets, liabilities, investments, insurance, goals, and household details — along with basic account information (email address, authentication method) needed to operate your account.
Your information is used to calculate your financial health results, generate reports and recommendations, and operate the features you use within FHIP. We do not use your financial data to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
If you sign in using Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn, we receive the basic profile information (typically your name and email address) that provider shares with us to create and authenticate your account. We do not receive your password for those services, and we do not post to those accounts on your behalf.
If you choose to upload a financial document (for example a bank, credit card, loan, payslip, investment or superannuation/EPF/NPS statement) so FHIP can prepare structured financial information for your review, that document is stored privately and is not available for routine admin viewing. FHIP's administrators can see operational information about a document — its type, source institution, and processing status — but cannot open, view or download the document itself as a matter of routine access.
Once you have reviewed and approved the information extracted from a document, the underlying raw file is marked for deletion under FHIP's retention policy rather than kept indefinitely — FHIP does not offer an ongoing document viewer or evidence vault for uploaded statements. We retain only the structured financial data, and the minimal provenance details needed for your financial profile and for audit purposes, once the raw document has been deleted. If a document upload fails or is rejected (for example because the file type isn't supported), it is likewise marked for prompt deletion rather than retained. This deletion runs on a scheduled process rather than the instant you click approve, and — like any scheduled process — is not instantaneous; we do not claim raw files are deleted the moment they become eligible.
Some FHIP features (for example insights and explanations shown alongside your results) are generated using an AI provider that processes the relevant portion of your financial data to produce that specific feature's output. We do not control, and do not make guarantees about, an AI provider's own internal retention or deletion practices for data it processes on our behalf; we select providers and configure requests to avoid unnecessary retention where the provider supports that. We do not use your financial data to train a public or third-party AI model.
FHIP uses only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences (for example your selected reporting currency). We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
You can review, update, or remove individual pieces of information in your account at any time. Connected data sources show their origin and last-refresh status so you always know how current a figure is.
You can also request closure of your entire FHIP account and deletion of your data from your Profile page. Requesting closure does not delete anything instantly — an authorised reviewer processes each request before deletion is carried out, and you can cancel your request at any time before that happens. Once carried out, deletion removes your account and the financial/content data associated with it; a small number of non-identifying operational records may be retained where FHIP's own audit design requires it (see the Terms page for related detail).
Accounts are protected using industry-standard authentication controls. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers using encryption in transit and at rest.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@myfhip.com.
